They tickle scholars' curiosity since the 15th Century, the "Catullo's Caves", when they associated some reference in the Catullo's papers to this Roman site on the Lage Garda shores, the widest Roman villa in Northern Italy. Although that was later proved wrong (the building dates after the poet's death) the site has an undoubted charme.
