Enrico Chierici, with his fiancée Clara Pezzuto, makes a little journey on the Riviera di Levante, between Chiavari and Santa Margherita Ligure. In this excerpt, they are in Rapallo, and Enrico produces a series of portrait of Clara. The artifacts on the image, instead, are a trait of cellulose triacetate decay: in advanced stages, in fact, the film base cannot hold the plastifiers anymore, so they migrate toward the surface of the film, blooming in these peculiar crystals.
