In front of the sign warning us that we are in Palermo territory, some kids run like crazy, heading for the sea. It is summer, the car drives along the coastal road, passing Capo Zafferano, one of the promontories overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea in north-western Sicily. The cars are still alternated with carts, pulled by mules and horses, on these suburban roads, which seem to capture the filmmaker's sympathies.
