In 1950s Bologna, filmmaker Raffaele Marani documents a moment of family life in the kitchen between his son Alberto and his wife Ada. Alberto rolls out the dough with a rolling pin to prepare a pizza, while Ada, partially visible on the left, cuts the mozzarella. Afterwards, Alberto spreads the sauce on the pizza and, smiling amusedly, throws the mozzarella pieces on top.
