In July 1936, in Torriglia, Ludovico Maria Chierici documents a camp organised by the Opera Nazionale Balilla in Genoa. The footage opens with a view of the entrance to the camp, with a sign reading ‘Opera Nazionale Balilla’. The camera continues by filming the camp kitchen, set up under outdoor tents, where men and boys are busy cooking. Next, a child, from behind, blows the bugle for the assembly. The boys, in uniform, march neatly towards the canteen tables, accompanied by adults in white officers' uniforms. The filming ends with the children seated as they eat their meal, many of them wearing eagles and lictor fasces on their hats, and some even wearing the fez of the Arditi
