On the National Route 113 they go fast and steady toward Tindari, direction of Palermo, avoiding steeping up the path toward Novara di Sicilia. The conglomeration of buildings we see on top of the rock, unrecognizable, is the Tindari Sanctuary itself. Although deeply different if compared to how it looks nowadays, it is the very same place: it was rebuilt from 1953 to 1977, to enlarge the complex way too small to host the multitude of pilgrims visiting it yearly.
