The Bagno Balena, in its impressive appearance almost out of the line, being just a beach resort, is a building dating back to 1928, when, due to sanitary and safety reasons, it was decided to replace the wooden building with a stonework one. The work was designed by Engineer Alfredo Belluomini, among the main architects being involved in the reconstruction of Viareggio seafront after the 1917 fire.
