Built in the 1920s, Verona Porta Nuova Station was heavily damaged by the Second World War bombing and, although already hit, it definetly succumbed under those in Winter 1945. It was rebuilt, more severe, in 1946 and inaugurated in 1949 at the presence of the President of the Republic Luigi Einaudi.
