Behind Palazzo Strozzi, on May 9th, 1938, the caravan soaked in nationalism and supremacy of the Party Officials of Italy and Germany. Hitler and Mussolini, welcomed by the celebrating crowd in the streets of Florence and by the unmistakable banners - whose red can be almost seen, despite the black and white image - parade below the eye of the camera, filming a historical moment made such also by Eugenio Montale's poem, La primavera hitleriana ("Hitler's Spring").
