Just after the war, Rome gets in the streets with bikes, stripes around the arm, banners and flags (those with peculiar and sharp staffs in the shape of hammer and sickle). The war has been over for a few months, it's October 14th, 1945: the demonstrators, following the Italian Communist and the Italian Socialist Parties, gather untidily but composed taking part to the assembly held at the Stadio Palatino. The demonstration, which 120'000 people took part to, on the grass, has been identified as that which asked for the gathering of the Constituent Assembly which will produce, three years later, the Italian Constitution - under the banner saying "W the workers' unity".
