The Alghero-Scala Piccada time attack is the first of its kind, in Sardinia, and the third oldest in Italy. Held since 1955, in that first edition - and only under such circumstance - was won by a foreign female pilot, French Gilberte Thirion, while the most winning regions are Lombardia, Sardinia and Tuscany.
