Enrico Chierici visits the 1940 trade fair, among whose stands appears, well recognizable, those of Perugina and SALEM - the "Alloys and Metals Limited Company", the company which the amateur worked for in Rapallo, until he was recruited for the war. The artifacts on the image, instead, are a trait of cellulose triacetate decay: in advanced stages, in fact, the film base cannot hold the plastifiers anymore, so they migrate toward the surface of the film, blooming in these peculiar crystals.
