On March 27th, 1970, Alcide Cervi passed away, symbol of the Resistance and known as "Papà Cervi" ("Cervi Dad"). Civil funerals are held on March 30th. During the three days before the service, the body was displayed in the Tricolour Flag Room inside Reggio Emilia City Hall, where a continuous crowd of people went to pay tribute to Cervi Dad. To guard the body in the "honour picket" come in turns: the A.N.P.I. comrades, the finance police militaries and high-profile political figures.
