The following of the soldiers' parades, both walking and riding, is scanned by the images of Ettore attending the parade continuously dropping the eye on his watch. By doing so, Francesco interchanges the visual document of the Cadets' oath with the tale of the holyday Ettore spends far from his daily routine, articulated by the work in the fields.
