The Scagliarini family, on holiday with their caravan, have left Calabria for Basilicata, specifically Marina di Maratea, where they find refuge in a small improvised campsite. On the gazebo built for the occasion, swimming costumes and towels are spread out to dry in the sun, along with the famous cruschi peppers, typical of the region. A woman prepares the table for lunch with a bowl of fresh figs. The main dish is pasta, cooked on an electric stove and drained on the ground in front of the caravan.
