In this film entitled ‘Modern canned Williams pears’, a documentary is presented that illustrates the activities of the Colombani factories in the production of Williams pears in syrup. Located in Portomaggiore, an important agricultural centre, the Colombani factories specialise in jams, fruit juices and fruit in syrup. The film offers an in-depth look at the fruit processing and preservation processes, highlighting all the steps in the production process that characterise Colombani's pears in syrup, known in English as ‘Choice Bartlett Pears’.
