In the reel entitled ‘Specialità Bolognesi’, we witness the preparation of a traditional dish: tagliatelle al ragù enriched with truffle. The scene begins with a woman breaking eggs in flour and, immediately afterwards, a sign appears reading: ‘SFOLIA is born’. The woman proceeds to roll out the dough with a rolling pin. Another sign reads: ‘Bionda genitrice delle aure TAGLIATELLE’, as the woman cuts the dough to form tagliatelle. The strips of dough are then dipped into a pot and cooked, to be drained later. Another sign appears: ‘Cui serve da manto l'operoso RAGÙ’, and the meat sauce, cooked in a pot, is poured over the tagliatelle. Finally, a sign reads: ‘WHICH SERVES AS A COAT OF WHITE TRUFFLES’, while fresh truffles are grated over the dish, ready to be served.
