In 1949, Mario Fantin documented a cable car journey in the Mont Blanc Massif. The clip shows panoramas of snowy peaks, glaciers, and rocky slopes filmed from inside the cable car cabin. The Italian subtitles comment on the height and the void experienced on the lift: "This cable car truly gives the idea of the void...", "Back at the Midi... final views of friendly peaks..." and "A gallop of an hour and a half up to the 'Torino'...". Among the shots, details of the cables, pulleys, and pylons of the structure appear, while the movement of the cable car accompanies the sequence until the arrival in the area of the Rifugio Torino (Torino Refuge).
