In July 1956, Renato Longo documented a summer day at Miralago, in the municipality of Castello del Matese, a small plateau surrounded by the high peaks of Campania. The images show a panoramic viewpoint over Lake Matese, with three women and a child posing and smiling at the camera. This is followed by an excursion along grassy and rocky slopes, through thick bushes and vegetation: the children run free, while the adults guide the group, offering a vivid portrait of a mountain day in the 1950s, immersed between Mount Miletto and Mount La Gallinola.
