In the Seventies, Don Fornasari filmed a trip to Cortina d’Ampezzo, in the heart of the Dolomites. The footage shows the alpine settlement spread out in the Ampezzo valley, with traditional architecture, wide panoramas of the Dolomite peaks, and the characteristic church with a white bell tower. This is followed by street scenes in the town center, a bus climbing a mountain road, grassy slopes, ruins in the rural landscape, and a short waterfall. The film concludes at the coach stop of Passo Monte Croce di Comelico, conveying the atmosphere of a journey through some of the most evocative locations in the Eastern Alps.
