Next stop: Castelvecchio. The fortress was born at thehalf of the 14th Century, likely from a series of environmental events - towowalls along the river and the walls along the "Adigetto" (the canal built in medieval times in the old riverbed, buried after World War One) drew a perfect place for such a rproject. The access to the bridge was made publiconly in 1870, and vastly restored, witth some importnat modifications, in 1926.
