In between a child on the pier and some fishermen boats back mooring, the "Giulio Cesare" was, alongside the "Duilio", the biggest ship in the Italian navy until the "Roma" Launch, which ouclassed them a few years later. After many oceanic journeys (it served on towards South Smerica, first, and North America later), it got sunk in 1944, while in Trieste, but it was later possible to bring it afloat and functioning after the war until its decommissioning in 1949.
