From Porta Saragozza, toward Piazza Maggiore, Pope Giovanni Paolo II goes through the streets of Bologna on board the white - and nowadays usual - "popemobile", sorrounded by many believers and his personal escort. That visit in Bologna, where the pontiff hadn't been in more than a century, took place during the Pastoral Visit in Emilia-Romagna (leading him, four years later, in Brisighella). Here he meets the chancellors of the four universities of the region and celebrated Mass in the Montagnola park, beside giving a speech "to the youth in Piazza Maggiore".
