First step entering the Zoo of Rome: from the massive gateway, neoclassical, to the aviaries and birds - including a bird named given to the zoo by "His Excellency Mussolini". What is now Rome Biopark, was known as a "Zoo" already in 1911, when it was inaugurated. The ephemeral success was due to World War First, mostly, leadign the area under City Hall control adn undergoing several changes throughout the years, until the Biopark transformation at the end of the century.
