Not only animals eat, in the zoo of Rome, but also the anthropomorphic creatures - as it is evident from the signs at the beginning of the film. What is now Rome Biopark, was known as a "Zoo" already in 1911, when it was inaugurated. The ephemeral success was due to World War First, mostly, leadign the area under City Hall control adn undergoing several changes throughout the years, until the Biopark transformation at the end of the century.
