Containers of helps for the refugees of the South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe liberation movements, move through the Reggio Emilia city center streets. The containers will then be carried to Genoa, where they will sail in May 1980. Destination: Luanda (Angola) and Maputo (Mozambique). "Amanda" was one of the main international solidarity ventures by Reggio Emilia, carried on by Giuseppe Soncini, president of the Santa Maria Nuova Hospital and the member of the City Council of Reggio Emilia. Franco Cigarini will follow Giuseppe Soncini and will prduce film documents of the journey, whose outcome will be the "Amanda: The Italian Solidarity Ship" documentary
