On March 27th, 1970, Alcide Cervi passed away, symbol of the Resistance and known as "Papà Cervi" ("Cervi Dad"). Civil funerals are held on March 30th. During the three days before the service, the body was displayed in the Tricolour Flag Room inside Reggio Emilia City Hall. As the images tell, showing a crowded Prampolini Square, a continuous crowd of people went to pay tribute to Cervi Dad. Franco Cigarini recorded with more than a reel the days in celebration of Cervi Dad. The director, in fact, was very close to Alcide, so that he dedicated the documentary "Cervi Dad" to him, made on commission for Unitelefilm.
