The film from which this sequence comes documents various wedding anniversaries of Rina and Salvatore Stella. In the sequence, dated 1980 to celebrate the sixth anniversary, the title 'It's been six years already' introduces Rina as she prepares coffee in the kitchen and brings it to Salvatore still in bed, sleeping. Later, the camera returns to the kitchen where Rina and the children have breakfast together: they eat biscuits and drink warm milk through a straw.
