Filmed between 1953 and 1954, Bonvicini captures winter scenes in Pocol, a mountain locality at about 1,530 meters above sea level near Cortina d’Ampezzo (Belluno), along the road leading to Passo Giau. The footage alternates panoramas of the Ampezzo Dolomites—with the peaks of Tofana di Rozes and Lagazuoi in the background—with shots of skiers descending the slopes and people strolling on the snow.
