In June 1957, Enrico Bagni filmed a short 8mm sequence set at high altitude, probably in the Piz Palü area. The clip, with a strong visual impact, shows mountain peaks silhouetted against the sunrise: the dark outlines of the summits blend with those of the hikers, also filmed in silhouette. The figures, seen from behind, watch the sun rise, motionless before the jagged profile of the mountains. The footage, dated June 24, 1957, refers to the Pizzo Palü tragedy mentioned in the handwritten note accompanying the film.
