In 1959, Francesco Berti filmed the commemoration of the 15th anniversary of the Marzabotto massacre in Marzabotto (Bologna). The camera captures Ferruccio Parri, former Prime Minister and partisan leader, giving a speech from a stage, surrounded by authorities and dignitaries, some wearing medals and honors. The crowd gathered in the piazza is numerous and participates in the event, with flags and banners from various associations, including one bearing the inscription "Families of War Dead and Missing." The footage documents a solemn moment of collective memory, where past grief and civil commitment intertwine before the eyes of the community.
