In 1960, Francesco Berti filmed images in Lizzano in Belvedere (Bologna), documenting the adventure of two young boys intent on exploring the Apennine forest. The camera follows them as they walk through ferns and conifers, using sticks for support along the path and crossing a small watercourse on a rudimentary wooden footbridge. Close-ups of the boys smiling and gestures of curiosity as they observe the surrounding environment emerge among the shots.
