Gianni Rodari was in Reggio Emilia as a guest of honor during the "Fantastica Meeting" (March 6-10, 1972). The meetings, all addressed to the teachers in Modena and Reggio Emilia, were asked by the Reggio Emilia municipality and pedagogue from Reggio Emilia Loris Malaguzzi. Such meetings were scheduled as theory classes with the teachers and professional figures in the afternoon, while in the morning they would practice with the childredn what had been previously discussed.
