Posters, banners and ingenuous mannequins drawn and assembled by children invite the passer-bies to leave the Via Emilia and turn in Abbadessa Road. A little street which leads to the hall of residence, main office in 1973 of the Reggio Emilia Kindergarten and Primary Schools Directorate. Here, the Directorate, in collaboration with the City Theatre, wanted to organize a festival open to the city about game and expression experiences in primary schools and kindergartens, from November 24th through December 2nd. Children, parents and teachers from various schools were involved in several activities dedicate to the children's variety of expressive languages. The festival was thus named CENTOLINGUE ("HUNDREDLANGUAGES"). Painting, printing and music: just a few among the languags representd. An approach, that multi-expressive one and of the openness to the city which has always defined the pedagogical work made with children in city schools.
