On the Roads of Val d'Ega
tipologia
8mm - HMFORNDON-0051
In 1977, Don Fornasari filmed an excursion in Val d'Ega, in the Eastern Dolomites, Trentino-Alto Adige. The camera follows the route in a camera-car along narrow mountain roads between rock faces and conifer woods, typical of the Latemar area, a Dolomite group known for its spectacular walls of stratified dolostone, with vertical shapes and rocky towers dominating the valley. At the end of the route, they arrive at Lake Carezza, about 1,520 m a.s.l., the "rainbow lake", where a group of youths observe the crystal-clear water, with their reflections visible on the surface. Some approach the shore to pose for a group photo. At the time, the lake appeared calm and crystalline, and is still famous today for its vivid colors and local legends related to the Latemar.
